Hmmnnn, do you have ANY idea what valor is? What it entails?!?!? To defiantly look at death in the face takes more valor than you’ve shown yourself capable of understanding. I’ve been in Israel’s wars in ’67, in ’73 and a few lesser celebrated skirmishes and I proudly wear the scars as my medals of honor. Don’t preach to me about something you obviously have no knowledge of, other than, perhaps, in some warped, romanticized, foolish way, that totally misses the issue.

Rabbi Michelson showed no sheep mentality, he showed courage and dignity far higher than any one you’ve ever met or are ever likely to.

It took the mighty German army and its tanks three weeks to destroy the Warsaw Ghetto, even when its defenders barely had pistols, a few rifles and some Molotov “cocktails” and were greatly outnumbered by well trained, well fed, well armed, ruthless German troops. Don’t you dare call them “compliant!” The Partisans were not “compliant!” Those who marched into the gas “showers,” singing “Mir velln zei iberlebn – We shall outlive them” were not “compliant”… but obviously… you’ve been in war… War and oppression brings out the best and the worst in men. Valour is displayed in more ways than with a weapon, in fact it takes a far bigger MAN to display valor without one!

The worst part of the Holocaust is the notion it left of Jews as compliant, weak victims. It took the military successes of the state of Israel to destroy that stigma.
